Vic Seiter serves as the Program Director for the Greenville Hurricanes Marksmanship Team, coaching upstate youth in Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and 3 Position Air Rifle.
He is a certified NRA Rifle and Pistol Instructor, NRA Certified Rifle Coach and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. He is a certified shotgun coach with the SCYSF-South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation and SCTP-Scholastic Clay Target Program through Clemson 4H Shooting Sports. He coaches middle and high school teams to take them to multiple events throughout the year including the South Carolina DNR State Governors Cup in Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays.
Vic has competed in Glock Pistol matches throughout the country for over 20 years. He is a Life member and Range Safety Officer for the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation. He has coached 4 Junior Pistol Teams to 1st place Glock Match finishes in 4 states– Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, Talladega, AL and Morganton, NC.
His background includes serving as a City Law Enforcement Officer with the OCPD and has trained church security teams in Greenville County. Vic earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in Geographic Information Systems, then worked with Military, Law Enforcement and County agencies to utilize G.I.S. software that maps assets, analyzes incidents, and evaluates data for optimal decision making. He chaired the Committee for Greenville County’s G.I.S. Alliance and assisted in the implementation of mapping software systems for Greenville County and the Planning Department for Greenville County Schools.
Vic knows the value of good training and loves to introduce people to shooting sports, walking them through organized programs for a lifetime of safe, enjoyable shooting skills.
